Magic Mushroom - Shorter, wider version of a high performance shortboard

The Magic Mushroom is a shorter, wider version of a performance shortboard that effectively allows you to shorten the arc of your turn, surf tight in the pocket, and explore above the lip. Additional width positioned through the back half of the board is a key feature which not only provides stability, but offers a platform to generate speed and acceleration. A subtle hip positioned approximately 15 inches from the tail compensates for extra width and creates a release point to maintain the boards overall response. Generous nose and tail dimensions help to maintain a consistent outline curve, while the single concave provides control and bite in critical sections and at high speeds. The Magic Mushroom is ideally suited to smaller, fatter waves and should be surfed approximately 4 inches shorter, and 1 1/2 inches wider than your standard shortboard.
